Introduction

This Cookie Policy applies both to Portal users and to those who use online or mobile applications. The information presented below is intended to inform the users of this application about the placement, use and administration of cookies by the Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments in the context of the use of this application.

What are cookies?

This application uses cookie technology to provide you with a better and personalized web service. An "Internet Cookie" (term also known as "browser cookie" or "HTTP cookie" or "cookie") is a small file that is stored by the browser and read from the hard drive of the end device (for example , computer, laptop or phone), depending on the websites you visit. Cookies are installed by the request issued by a web server to a browser (eg: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc.) or an application.

Once installed, cookies have a fixed lifetime, remaining "passive" in the sense that they do not contain software, viruses or spyware and will not access information on the hard drive of the user on whose equipment they were installed.

A cookie consists of two parts: the name of the cookie and the content or value of the cookie. From a technical point of view, only the web server that sent the cookie can access it again when a user returns to the web page associated with that web server.

The purposes for which cookies are used through this website

Cookies are used to provide users of this application with a better browsing experience and services adapted to the needs and interests of each individual user, namely for:

  • anticipation of possible services that will be made available to users through this application in the future, depending on the services / products accessed.

Thus, the use of cookies allows memorization of certain settings/preferences established by the users of this application, such as:

  • facilitating access to users' accounts
  • measuring and recording website traffic (Google Analytics)

Lifetime of cookies

The lifetime of cookies can vary significantly, depending on the purpose for which they are placed. There are the following categories of cookies, which also determine their lifetime:

- Session cookies – is a cookie that is automatically deleted when the user closes the browser/application;

- Persistent or fixed cookies – is a cookie that remains stored in the user's terminal until it reaches a certain expiration date (which can be several minutes, days or several years) or until it is deleted by the user at any time, through through browser/application settings.
